Our mission is to advocate for History education and Human Rights. As more information is generated online, we also campaign for online communication that is informed, respectful and of value to the global community.
We began to look at the issue of 'Nazi chic' in Thailand in 2013 and the factors that lead to instances of it surfacing in the international media. In order to address this issue, we provide free educational materials, disseminate information and promote discussion online about Human Rights issues and online harassment in Thailand and globally.
You may be asking yourself, how is it possible that people do not know about the Holocaust?
If you are a Westerner, it was a subject that was likely approached with a great deal of seriousness in school and within the culture. It's a completely taboo subject to make light of and the majority of people in most Western countries see those that deny the holocaust as radically miseducated.
Part of our mission here is to not be condescending nor didactic about this issue, that gets in the way of understanding. What the questions became to us were: Why do Thai people need to know about the Holocaust? How does this relate to Thailand and to today?

Thais are generally an accepting people, and this type of behavior does not reflect that

In our research, we have found some anti semitic sentiments expressed online and elsewhere in Thailand. This is a very small minority, however the first book about WWII published in Thai language was sympathetic to the Nazi ideals and theis a book currently in print for sale at some Se-Ed bookstores titled The Problem with the Jews. We also advocate for the rights and respect for all, especially those affected by the Holocaust, which included not only Jewish people, but Romani, homosexuals, political activists and handicapped people.
